DOCUMENT PREPARING DEVICE AND DOCUMENT CALLING CONTROLLING METHOD

PURPOSE:To make it possible to perform a proper document preparation/edition calibra tion processing by performing an output control of the display form of file name information for which a control processing can not be performed so as to be different from the file name information for which the control processing can be performed. CONSTITUTION:When a 'preservation calling' key 44c is depressed, a central control processing part 10 is started and a system is set to a document file information calling mode. The central processing part 10 performs an access for an external storage device 70 and discriminates the kind of the document file information stored in an FDD 74. This discrimination is performed by referring to a function comparison control table area 20d of a ROM 20 where table information on the functions that the central control processing part 10 is capable of performing a control processing is stored. When the central control processing part 10 displays this file name information, it controls the display form of the file name information in the file information which does not conform to table information so as to be different from the file name information for which a control processing can be performed and, for instance, it performs an inversion display control for the form.
