MULTI-STORY STORAGE EQUIPMENT WITH PORTAL OVERHEAD CRANE

PURPOSE:To carry articles arbitrarily into and out from a multi-story storage equipment easily by suspending upper-lower stage pallets through hangers by a portal overhead crane longitudinally travelling along a rail and lifting and lowering the pallets by a horizontal lifting-lowering frame. CONSTITUTION:When a bus 03A at the center of a first floor is carried out, a lifting-lowering frame 10 is elevated up to a third floor 29, a portal overhead crane 2 is moved forward up to the position of a bus 03B, and the lifting- lowering frame 10 is brought down onto the pallet 18 for a second floor of the bus 03B. Lifting hooks 22 are inserted into slots 20 for lifting, a pallet hanger 24 is rotated at 90 deg. through a power cylinder 26 and the pallet 18 for the second floor is caught, the pallet 18 is hung up by the portal overhead crane 2, and forwarded and lowered onto an empty shelf 30 for bus cargo trimming, and the lifting-lowering frame 10 is elevated. The portal overhead crane 2 is backed, the lifting-lowering frame 10 is brought down and the pallet 16 for the first floor of the bus 03A is hung up, the pallet 16 is retreated up to the position of bus entering and leaving 8 and lowered onto the first floor 1a, and the bus 03A is carried out through the bus entrance 8 by self-advancing.
