Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To obtain an antibacterial cellulosic fiber having excellent washing fastness by post-treating a cellulosic fiber with a specific antibacterial agent. CONSTITUTION:An antibacterial cellulosic fiber having excellent washing fastness is easily produced by post-treatment comprising the addition of 3,4,4'- trichlorocarbanilide as an antibacterial agent to a dyeing bath containing a dye and the antibacterial treatment performed simultaneously with the dyeing of a cellulosic fiber using a jigger dyeing machine. The amount of the antibacterial agent absorbed in the fiber is preferably 0.005wt.% based on the fiber.
