Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To perfectly prevent the generation of a flanging cracking and form a normal can body end part by forming uncoated parts of a thermoplastic resin film to a metal plate in the direction right-angled to the longitudinal direction of the metal plate and making the dimension between the adjacent non-covered parts almost the same to the dimension in the peripheral direction of a can. CONSTITUTION:The thermoplastic resin film 20 unwound from a film payoff reel 50 is sheared at a predetermined interval by a film shearing device 51 and the respective cut films are upwardly drawn one at a time by a suction conveyor belt device 54. The cut films can be more stably received from the suction conveyor belt device 54. The largest films arranged on a coating roll 56 at a constant interval are thermally applied to a metal plate 1 and non-coated parts each having a width of 1-8mm are provided to the metal plate so as to extend in the direction right-angled to the longitudinal direction of the metal plate. The metal plate having thermoplastic resin films applied thereto in a lateral stripe state is produced.
