Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To produce a channel head made of forged steel having no welded part and high yield by executing heating, drawing and nozzle extrusion on a blank, in which the projecting part for a support pad is previously forged. CONSTITUTION:The projecting part for a support pad 7 is previously forged on a blank before drawing, the projecting part is subjected to forging, gas cutting as necessary, and forming, arranging the support pad part 7 at the prescribed position, subjecting to heating, drawing and nozzle extrusion as it is. Thus, the channel head is formed in one body, eliminating eladding by welding. Accordingly, the forged steel channel head of one body consisting nozzle and support pad, which is of high reliability having no welded part and of high yield, is produced.
