SYSTEM FOR PARALLEL PROCESSING OF DATA BASE REARRANGEMENT

PURPOSE:To execute rearrangement in parallel by saving a record in a prime area and the record in an overflow area in a data saving area, and then, filling the area with them to execute rearrangement. CONSTITUTION:The records are taken-out from some prime area and overflow area 6 in a data base 4, stored in the data saving area 2 and erased. After that, the record taken-out from the data saving area 2 is filled in the prime area 5 or the overflow area 6, rewritten and rearranged. By this operation, a data base DB rearrangement utility 1 obtains the exclusion of the prime area 5 and the overflow area 6 which are not used in parallel with an application program and successively stores the records of the prime area 5 and the overflow area 6 in the data saving area 2 once so that the records are successively filled in the prime area 5 and the overflow area 6, rewritten, rearranged and a high-speed access possible state is obtained.
