Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To make the extent of oxide film coating uniform and to prevent a burning fault and generation of an oxide film on the rear face of a band- shaped material in the device (radial type) where the band-shaped material is carried in the state of being in contact with a supporting roll while being immersed in an electrolyte and is fed by a feeding roll and power is supplied between the band-shaped material and an approximately concentrically circular electrode installed along the outer peripheral surface of the supporting roll to subject the band-shaped material to anodic oxidation treatment. CONSTITUTION:An electrode 2 having arcuate section is provided in an anodic oxidation bath 1. The anodic oxidation bath 1 is filled with an electrolyte 4. A supporting roll 5 having a concentrically circular peripheral surface is freely rotatably provided above the electrode 2 and apart a slight distance from it, and an elastic layer 6 made of nonwoven fabric is provided on the peripheral surface of this supporting roll 5. A spray nozzle 10 is provided above the supporting roll 5, and water 11 is sprayed to the elastic layer 6 by this spray nozzle 10 any time.
