Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To obtain a partially crosslinked butyl rubber composition capable of providing a cured product having excellent physical properties in ordinary state, heat resistance and low permanent compression set. CONSTITUTION:This partially crosslinked butyl rubber composition is obtained by adding 0.01-30 pts.wt. vinyl aromatic compound and 0.01-10 pts.wt. organic peroxide to 100 pts.wt. butyl rubber and partially crosslinking the butyl rubber while applying mechanical shearing force to this blend system. This composition contains preferably a vulcanizer of butyl rubber.
