Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To obtain a termite controlling agent, capable of manifesting its activity at a much lower concentration than that of a conventional controlling agent without causing problems in the environment, further residual functional activity against the termites and safely and advantageously usable in wooden buildings damaged by the termites. CONSTITUTION:The objective termite controlling agent comprises a compound of the formula (R is H, 1-6C alkylcarbonyl or 1-6C alkoxycarbonyl) or its salt. A compound in which R is H, acetyl group or methoxycarbonyl group in the compound of the formula is preferred. This compound is applied to a habitat of the termites, a site in fear of damaging with the termites or a site suffering from the damage of the termites to control or exterminate the termites.
