Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To deodorize the malodorous gases generated at the time of reducing the volume of org. molded goods, such as foamed styrol, over a long period of time and to obviate the raising of global environmental problems even in a discarding treatment of used deodorants by catalytically reacting these malodorous gases with an aq. soln. of an oxidizing agent contg. an alkaline metal. CONSTITUTION:The malodorous gases generated at the time of reducing the volume of the org. molded goods, such as foamed styrene, by crushing or heating and melting are chemically deodorized by catalytically reacting these malodorous gases with the aq. soln. of the oxidizing agent (e.g. KMnO4) contg. the alkali metal adjusted to a 4.0 to 9.0pH range at the time of recycling the above- mentioned org. molded goods. For example, a high removal rate of the styrene monomer smells of the aq. soln contg. NaClO or KMnO4 is obtd. in an extremely short period of time when air contg. 600ppm styrene monomer smell is blown through a porous body of ceramic into solns. respectively contg. H2O2, H2O2+Fe, NaClO and KMnO4. |
