Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To provide a device which can automatically insert a slag block into a discharging hole for molten metal in a converter and can surely prevent flow-out of slag at the initial stage of steel tapping. CONSTITUTION:By advancing an arm 10 which can attach/detach the slag block 9 at the top part, in the arrow mark alpha direction, the block 9 is inserted into the top hole 2 for molten metal in the converter 1. Guide frame 20 holding the arm 10 is held to a carriage 30 so as to be ascended/discended and the carriage 30 is mounted on a frame base 40 so as to be possible to travel.
