METHOD FOR COOLING ASH DISCHARGING PORT OF ASH MELTING FURNACE

PURPOSE:To improve durability of a bank refractory material and to enable its life to be prolonged by a method wherein mixture mist of air and water is supplied inside the bank refractory material having a molten slag discharging groove formed therein. CONSTITUTION:A bank refractory material 11 disposed at a bottom part of a slag discharging port 3 is comprised of an upper bank refractory material 11A having a discharging groove 12 formed at an upper surface central part and a lower bank refractory material 11B connected to a lower part of the upper bank refractory material 11A. A cooling pipe 13 is buried at a connecting surface of the lower bank refractory material 11B in such a way as it may bypass near a corresponding position of the midway discharging groove 12. In addition, a mist supplying pipe 15 connected to a spray nozzle 14 for generating mixed mist of cooling air and mist is connected to one end of the cooling pipe 13. Accordingly, the molten slag flows out at the discharging groove through a solidifying film of the molten slag, resulting in that a melting loss of the bank refractory material is reduced.
