AUTOMATIC CONNECTING METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PACKAGING FILM

PURPOSE:To connect the final end of film and the starting end of new film automatically without stopping the feeding of the old film. CONSTITUTION:A pair of suction chambers 56, 56 are provided striding a feeding path of film, in such a manner that the suction chambers 56, 56 can mutually approach or separate. Each suction chamber is constituted to be movable along the film feeding direction. By approaching both chambers 56, 56 under a condition in which one suction chamber 56 holds by suction the starting end of new film F2, the starting end of the new film F2 is connected to the final end of old end F1 which is being fed. Also, the suction chambers 56, 56 move along the feeding of the old film F1, under a condition in which the suction chambers 56, 56 grip film F1, and film F2, and therefore, the connection can be performed without stopping the feeding of the film.
