Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To determine an appropriate operation for an onboard air purifier adapted to adjust the suction force by detecting gas in the air with the use of a gas sensor, by finely determining the rotational speed and operating time of a fan motor, suitable for a gas generating condition and a gas quantity. CONSTITUTION:A gas sensor for detecting smoke from a cigarette or exhaust gas is provided in an air-purifier body 1, and an output from the gas sensor 2 is inputted to a fuzzy inference unit 5 which uses an output value from the gas sensor 2 in a clean air as a reference value, and which determines the rotational speed of a fan motor 6 for sucking up dust and smoke in accordance with a deviation from the reference value and an absolute value from the gas sensor 2. Thereby it is possible to finely determine the rotational speed of the fan motor.
