Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To eliminate deterioration in display quality originating from characteristics of a two-terminal active element for driving a liquid crystal layer. CONSTITUTION:A liquid crystal panel 400 structured by connecting the liquid crystal layer 401 and a group of two-terminal active element 402 in series is arranged between column electrode groups X1-Xm and row electrode groups Y1-YN and difference signals are applied to those column electrode groups X1-Xm and row electrode groups Y1-YN to make a display on the liquid crystal panel 400. The difference signals are set to a voltage in inverse relation with the I-V characteristics of the two-terminal active elements 402 and applied to those column electrode groups X1-Xmand row electrode groups Y1-YN. Further, difference signals which have a maximum amplitude voltage set for the display or an amplitude value above it are applied to the column electrode groups X1-Xm and row electrode groups Y1-YN for a constant period in a period wherein the liquid crystal display panel 400 is put in substantial display operation, namely, a period except a selection period. |
