Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To obtain a method for analysis enabling reliable analysis of a sample even when sampling can not be applied thereto, on condition that the sample has a flat part partially. CONSTITUTION:On the occasion when a surface analysis of a sample 5 is conducted by using an apparatus for a spectrochemical analysis of a glow discharge which is equipped with an anode for which a discharge voltage or a discharge current is controlled and with a cathode being the sample and has a light-emitting element, a cathode part and a non-sample-side anode part are grounded. By impressing a voltage on a sample-side anode part, the sample is analyzed directly while it is kept in a grounded state.
