DOCUMENT PREPARING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To provide a document generation device which can display a desired initial starting screen by previously setting the initial starting screen which a user desires. CONSTITUTION:The document generation device setting screen the device to be a prescribed mode and displaying a corresponding screen at the time of raising the device when power is supplied is provided with a storage means (screen data memory 4) storing various screen data, setting means (initial starting screen controller 2 and an initial starting screen control table 3) setting the type of the screen when the device rises, a judgement means (initial starting screen controller 2) checking the type of the screen which the setting means set when the device rises and judging it, control means (the initial starting screen controller 2 and a display device 5) reading screen data corresponding to the type of the screen which the judgement means judge from the storage means so as to display it.
