A color diffusion transfer photographic material comprises a base having thereon at least one silver halide emulsion layer and a dye image-receiving layer, at least one layer thereof containing a dye-releasing redox compound and at least one layer thereof containing a development inhibitor-releasing compound represented by the following general formula (I): A-Time)tDIG (I) wherein A represents linked to -Time)tDIG through at least one of R1, R2 and EAG; R1 and R2, which may be the same or different, each represents a single bond or a substituent other than a hydrogen atom, provided that R1 and R2 may be linked to form a ring; EAG represents an electron-accepting group; Time represents a group capable of releasing DIG after EAG accepts an electron; DIG represents a development inhibitor precursor; and t is an integer of 0 or 1.
