MOLTEN METAL HOLDING FURNACE

PURPOSE:To eliminate interruption of dip-out work of molten steel and to make sure of degassing in the dip-out side by arranging gas injecting means at furnace bottom in lower side of a filter for filtering the molten metal and arranging a piping for supplying gas so as to face a pouring hole to the gas injecting means. CONSTITUTION:In a molten metal holding furnace arranged so as to partition an inner space in the furnace 10 with a parting wall 15 and the filter for filtering the molten metal 22 and arrange horizontal type submerged tubes 20 incorporating exothermic body 19 to horizontal direction, the piping for gas supplying pipe 24 is arranged so as to execute degassing from lower side of the filter 22 for filtering the molten metal. Gas for supplying from the piping 24 is made to fine bubbles with the filter 25 for injecting gas and discharged in the molten metal, and this gas is passed through the filtering the molten metal and discharged in the air. The gas is made so as not to flow to the dip-out side 32 with an extending part 27 extended to lower end part of the parting wall 15.
