APPLICATION OF LUBRICITY TO CHAIN CUTTER FOR EXCAVATING GROUND

PURPOSE:To prevent the obstruction for the smooth operation of a chain cutter for excavating ground due to the intrusion of soil particles and preventing the excavation for the ground for a long period from being disabled. CONSTITUTION:As for a chain cutter 1 for excavating ground, a cutter chain 6 is allowed to travel freely in ciruculation along each guide groove formed in recessed form on both the sides in the width direction of a cutter frame 2, by a sprocket 3 which is axially supported at both the edge parts in the longitudinal direction of the cutter frame 2. The gas foams B having a proper viscosity are sent from outside into a gap 10 formed between the cuter chain 6 and the guide groove 5. When the gap 10 is charged with the gas foams B having a proper viscosity, soil particles do not flow into the gap 10, and even if soil particles intrude, they are discharged, and also each friction between the cutter chain 6, guides 5a, 5b, and 5c is reduced by the lubricity applying effect of the gas fomas B, and the smooth long time operation of the chain cutter 1 is secured.
