COUPLING HOOD FOR ROLLING STOCK CAR

PURPOSE:To reduce the labor of work and positively perform storage in a coupling hood to be manually advanced and retracted by performing the advancing and retreating operations without the need for supporting a releasing side hood frame and the load of hood cloth by operators, and reduce costs, the number of parts, and accidents compared with automated apparatuses. CONSTITUTION:A coupling hood consists of a first arm 13 connected to a stationary side hood frame 2 or its hood seat 3 by a first joint A capable of turning up and down, a second arm 18 connected to the tip of the first arm 13 by a second joint B capable of rotating up and down, a means provided at both the joints A, B and capable of fixing the arms 13, 18 in horizontal position and in upright position, and a sliding member 22 fixed on a releasing side hood frame 5 and capable of sliding on the second arm 18.
