CONTROL CIRCUIT FOR BEAM CURRENT LIMITING VALUE OF ABL BY VIDEO MENU

PURPOSE:To control brightness of a high luminance video signal by providing an image receiver having a video menu function with a circuit which detects a function controlling voltage and a switching circuit for a beam current limiting value of an ABL circuit. CONSTITUTION:When a user selects a bright video menu, a low voltage is outputted from a microcomputer IC1, then a TR. comes to be off, and the limiting value of an automatic beam current limiting circuit ABL is made fixed by resistors R7 and 8, and an IC2 is fed back for its ABL to be fixed. In the case a dark video menu is selected, the IC1 outputs a high voltage, then the TR2 comes to be on, and the limiting value of the ABL is decided by R5 and R6 and 7, then it is fed back to the IC2. Thus, the limiting value of the beam current for the IC2 is set lower than that for the bright video menu. By this, even if a video signal having a lot of bright part comes in, brightness can be controlled.
