Azo dyestuffs which are free of ionic groups and have the general formula I see diagramm : EP0155470,P13,F1 in which R1 denotes alkyl of 2 to 6 carbon atoms or cycloalkyl of 5 or 6 carbon atoms and, if R2 and/or R3 denote cyanoalkyl, also halogen or methyl, R2 and R3 , independently of the other, each denote linear alkyl of 1 to 4 carbon atoms, alkoxyalkyl of 2 to 4 carbon atoms in the alkyl group and of 1 to 4 carbon atoms in the alkoxy group, or cyanoalkyl of 2 to 4 carbon atoms in the alkyl group and R4 denotes hydrogen or methyl.
