Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To provide a new charging system, capable of beginning charging of a storage battery with a battery charger concurrently with the discharge start of the storage battery, allowing keeping the storage battery in a completely charged condition. CONSTITUTION:This charging system is composed of a storage battery 1 and a battery charger 3, and starting discharging the storage battery 1 with an apparatus 2 causes beginning charging the storage battery 1 with the battery charger 3. Also the followings are provided: a detection means 6 detecting the stop of the discharge of the storage battery 1; and a charge control means 5, starting a timer 4 when the stop of the discharge is detected with the detection means 6 and stopping charge with the battery charger 3 after a given time elapses, and on the other hand, resetting the timer 4 when discharge is begun with the main body apparatus 2 during the timer 4 is operated.
