Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To obtain the titled substrate having low birefringence and improved strength and solvent resistance, by hardening a methacrylic partial polymer containing a monoethylenically unsaturated monomer consisting essentially of methyl methacrylate and a crosslinking monomer in a specific proportion. CONSTITUTION:A uniform methacrylic partial polymer consisting of (A) 90-99.7 wt% monoethylenically unsaturated monomer consisting essentially of methyl methacrylate, and (B) 0.3-10wt% crosslinking monomer preferably polyethylene glycol di(meth)acrylate (having 170-1,020 molecular weight of the polyethylene glycol), neopentyl glycol di(meth)acrylate, pentaerythritol tri(meth)acrylate and/or trimethylolpropane tri(meth)acrylate, and having 5-200 poises viscosity (25 deg.C) is hardened under pressing and heating conditions in the presence of a radical polymerization initiator in a mold to give the aimed substrate. |
