Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To enable continuous measurement of K and Cl by measuring four components out of all the chemical components Na, K, Cl, SO4 and CO3 constituting collected ash and by determining one residual component from a balance between cations and anions. CONSTITUTION:A sample solution 10 of collected ash 5 dissolved and diluted in a dilution vessel 6 is sent to six-way selector valves 15 and 16. The valves 15 and 16 sends the solution 10 to waste liquid tanks 17 and 18. On the occasion, eluents 21 and 22 are sent out to cation-anion chromatographs 23 and 24, together with the solution 10 of a prescribed quantity, through volume regulating coils 13 and 14. A personal computer 28 determines mass concentrations VNa, VK, VCl and VCO3(mg/l) of discrete components from outputs of the chromatographs 23 and 24 by a working curve and converts them into molar concentrations mol/l. Since the ash 5 is constituted of five chemical components, the molar concentration MCO3 of CO3 is determined as a molar concentration difference between cations and anions and the mass concentration VCO3 is determined therefrom. Moreover, the concentrations CK and CCl (wt.%) of K and Cl in the ash 5 are determined from the mass concentrations of the five components thus obtained.
