MOLDED CHIP TANTALUM SOLID ELECTROLYTIC CAPACITOR

PURPOSE:To prevent burning, etc., due to reverse mounting when mounted on a printed board, etc., by making a distance between outer edges of a terminal between one equal polarity outer terminals shorter than a distance between inner edges of the terminals between the other equal polarity outer terminals. CONSTITUTION:Two outer cathode terminals 4a, 4b and outer anode terminals 5a, 5b opposed in a direction perpendicular to each other are provided on the same surface of a molded chip, and a distance (y) between outer edges of one of between the terminals 4a and 4b and between the terminals 5a and 5b is formed shorter than a distance (x) between the inner edges of the other terminals. Thus, a correct polarity can be held to be mounted only if the four outer terminals are simultaneously placed on four pads, and burning, etc., due to reverse polarity mounting can be effectively prevented.
