Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To obtain a porous carbon material for the treatment of waste water effective for the purification of org. matter-containing waste water by providing a porous particle property limited in a pore size, pore volume and breaking strength in a structural form wherein a carbon skeleton having a soft porous structure formed by carbonizing a vegetable powder is coated with a hard carbon film. CONSTITUTION:The org. contaminant dissolved in waste water is effectively adsorbed by limiting the volume of pores with a pore size of 10mm or less to a pore volume of 0.3cc/g or more and the bacteria supporting function in a porous structure is increased by limiting the volume of pores with a pore size of 1-100mum a pore volume of to 2.0 co/g or more. The breaking strength of a particle diameter of 3mm is a property necessary for preventing the powdering of a carbon material and, when this breaking strength is less than 300g, the destruction of particles is generated to generate a carbon powder to cause secondary pollution and the others. Therefore, an aqueous solution containing a binder component such as lignin, water-soluble starch, natural water-soluble gum is added to a vegetable powder and the resulting mixture is subjected to tumbling granulation, drying and baking carbonization to control a particle size, the amount of the binder component and baking carbonization temp. to obtain the objective porous carbon material having said porous particle property. |
