Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To effectively bring the starting end face of an apex into coincidence with the rear end face and to eliminate the excess or insufficiency of rubber at a joint by holding the rear end of the apex by a chuck, rotating the chuck along a circular arc protruding downward, adhering it to the outer surface of the remaining bead apex, and adhering the starting end face to the rear end face of the apex. CONSTITUTION:A bead ring 12 is supported at its vertical face or nearly vertical face, the bead ring adhering face of the end of an apex 13 supplied from one end to the outer face position of the top of the ring is press-adhered, and the apex is so supported as to be disposed substantially along the tangential line of the outer surface of the top of the ring. Then, the ring is rotated circumferentially, and the rear part continued to the end of the apex is adhered to the ring upon rotation of it. The rotation of the ring is stopped at a predetermined rotary angle position on the course of adhering, its side of the rear part to be cut of the apex is held, cut at a predetermined length, and then again rotated. The rear end is rotated in synchronization therewith, adhered, and the front end face is brought into contact with the rear end face to be adhered.
