CONSTITUTION:This lens consists of a polymer of org. silicone compd. having a vinylphenyl group expressed by formula I, or consists of a copolymer of the compd. above mentioned and other polymerizable monomers. In formula I, R is a univalent hydrocarbon group, X is a alkoxy or halogen atom, Y is -[O-Si(CH3)2]p,-R (R is a univalent hydrocarbon group), Z is -[O-Si(CH3)2]q-O- the both ends of which couple with same silicon atom, p is an integer >=1, q is an integer 2-11 n is an integer 0-2, k is an integer 0-3, r is 0 or 1, and both of k and r are not O at same time, and k+2r+n is 2 or 3.
