POLARIZING PLATE HAVING TACKY ADHESIVE LAYER

PURPOSE:To improve the durability in a high-temp. state and to obviate the degradation in polymn. degree even after resting for a long period of time as well as to prevent the generation of warpage of tacky adhesive layers by using the specific tacky adhesive for cellulose protective film layers of a polarizing film. CONSTITUTION:The tacky adhesive layers of an acrylic resin contg. alkyester of orthophosphoric acid are formed on at least one of the protective layers of the polarizing plate constituted by coating both surfaces of the polarizing film with the protective layers. A polyvinyl alcohol film is used as the polarizing film and the constituting component of the acrylic resin is exemplified by a soft monomer component having a low glass transition temp. and a hard comonomer component having a high glass transition temp. Methyl orthophosphate, ethyl orthophosphate, and propyl orthophosphate are useful as the alkyl group of the alkyl ester of the orthophosphoric acid. A hardener is preferably used in combination at 0.01 to 5wt.% with the acrylic tacky adhesive.
