Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To provide a method for producing a lightweight unburned aggregate in a range within 0.8 l-1.3 specific gravity in absolute dry condition at low cost by using ashes of large amount generated in a fluidized bed boiler. CONSTITUTION:A lightweight unburned aggregate is produced by adding water or a granulating agent containing water to high-calcium ashes discharged from a fluidized bed boiler and granulating this mixture and performing only atmospheric pressure steam-curing therefor. In a method for producing this lightweight unburned aggregate, the specific gravity in absolute dry condition of the aggregate is controlled and regulated to a range within 0.8-1.3 by inhibiting the temperature rise based on slaking reaction of quick lime contained in ashes of the boiler by an air blower and water spray.
