Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To obtain an excellent quality of cast slab having little alumina inclusion by raising degree of superheat in molten steel with a tundish heater, stirring, floating up the alumina inclusion, cooling the molten steel in an immersion nozzle at the time of casting, lowering the degree of superheat and casting. CONSTITUTION:A gas blast cooling device 8 is arranged at outer peripheral part of the immersion nozzle 7, and by injecting cooling gas from this gas blast cooling device 8, the immersion nozzle 7 is cooled to cool the molten steel passing through the immersion nozzle 7. At upper part of the immersion nozzle 7, a large diameter part 18 is arranged and flowing speed of the molten steel is decreased at the large diameter part 18 to promote cooling of the molten steel. By this method, the alumina inclusion is reduced, and continuous casting to the excellent quality of cast slab having little segregation can be executed.
