RAISING SEEDLING MAT PACKING METHOD AND SYSTEM THEREFOR

PURPOSE:To pack raising seedling mats in a good posture through such a way that plural fibrous mats put on the horizontal top of a sliding table are allowed to slide, one by one, obliquely downward and impinge on the front inner wall of a raising seedling box being carried and then pressed down in the rear of said box. CONSTITUTION:When a raising seedling box is to be packed with each mat, such as of rock wool, to be used as bed soil for e.g. seedlings for rice transplanter, plural fibrous mats 21-23 are laterally, superposedly put on the horizontal top 31 of a sliding table 30, and these mats are allowed to slide, one by one, while periodically releasing the restraint by a click stop 40, obliquely downward along a slope 35, and impinge on the front inner walls of the respective raising seedling boxes 61-63 being carried continuously or intermittently. Subsequently, part of these mats 21-23 raised in the rears of the respective boxes are pressed down with a brush roll 71 and leveled by an elastic roll 83, thus packing the mats in the boxes in a good posture. Said click stop 40 is driven in response to the signals from a sensor 48 which has detected the positions of the boxes carried by a conveyor 50.
