Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To provide a cathode-ray tube in which the deterioration of the airtightness or the leak of the bonded part of the constituent parts of a glass vessel can be efficiently prevented when the constituent parts of the glass vessel of a cathode-ray tube are bonded with the fusion of frit, and also the manufacturing method for a cathode-ray tube in which the cathode-ray tube can be surely manufactured with a simple processing method. CONSTITUTION:This cathode-ray tube is provided with a glass vessel constituted by bonding a plurality of constituent parts of a glass vessel with the fusion of frit. In the edge 32 of the bonded part 30 of at least one glass vessel constituent part 20, a polished surface 34 for chamfer is formed in the direction H which is nearly in parallel with the direction of the thickness of the glass vessel constituent part 20 corresponding to the bonded part. A manufacturing method is provided for the cathode-ray tube which is provided with a glass vessel constituted by bonding a plurality of glass container contituent parts with the fusion of frit. The polishing direction for chamfer of the edge of the bonded part of at least one glass vessel constituent part is maintained substantially in parallel with the direction of the thickness of the glass vessel constituent part corresponding to the bonded part. |
