Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To improve the workability and the efficiency of noise elimination processing in the picture processing method which performs the editing processing with raster data, which is read by a scanner or the like, as the object. CONSTITUTION:A drawing input device gives label numbers to black parts and white parts in a designated area (S1). Label numbers of black parts and white parts continuous in the main scanning direction are integrated and grouped (S2). Start parts of black linking picture elements and white linking picture elements are retrieved (S2). Main scanning coordinates, subscanning coordinates, etc., of start parts are stored in a buffer. Thereafter, linking picture elements whose sizes in the subscanning direction and the main scanning direction are smaller than a threshold value are retrieved from black linking picture elements and white linking picture elements (S3). Black noise data and white noise data are generated from the retrieved black linking picture elements and white linking picture elements. The black noise data and white noise data are inverted and are written over image data to generate noise eliminated image data.
