PURPOSE:To enable a processing for realizing various functions of a processing, desired to be carried out at the reproducing start time of picture data of a corresponding block, a processing desired to be carried out at the reproducing ending time, a processing over a reproducing period, etc., in the same form. CONSTITUTION:A recording area is divided into plural blocks, and an area of control or parameter information for execution of various functions at the time of picture reproduction is assigned to each block, and various functions executed by control or parameter information are so divided that they are realized in two stages of the first half part and the latter part, and the latter part of functions of the preceding readout block is processed simultaneously with the read of one block, then, the first half part of functions of the block is processed, and functions according with control or parameter information are executed by repeating these operations while reproducing pictures. Thus, the method is simple because of simultaneous generation of video and audio data and applications, and the debugging time is considerably shortened, as well.
