Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To transport a car laterally and safely by automatically correcting the car with high accuracy in a normal attitude. CONSTITUTION:When a front wheel 14a and a rear wheel 15a reach to second set positions under a decelerated state, a conveyor 11 for the front wheel and a conveyor 12 for the rear wheel, on which these wheels are placed, are stopped respectively. Whether or not a car 13 to be transported in the lateral direction by each conveyor 11, 12 is positioned in a section, which is slightly wider than the car width, between a third set position and a fourth set position under the state of the stoppage of each conveyor 11, 12 or at the time of re-traveling is decided. When a part of the car is protruded from either of the third set position or the fourth set position as the result of the decision of car width, the position of the car is corrected automatically by controlling each conveyor 11, 12. When a part of the car 13 is protruded from both the third set position and the fourth set position, the impossibility of entrance is decided.
