Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To measure the position of coils as handling objects, remotely and automatically, without harming them. CONSTITUTION:A picture including a cylindrical body 1 is taken by a motion picture camera 3, and the part of the cylindrical body is extracted from the picture image by a picture processing device 4 for finding out the position of the image of the cylindrical body in the picture. The position of the cylindrical body 1 is calculated by an arithmetic unit 5 according to the position of the image of the cylindrical body in the picture image and the position of the camera 3.
