PURPOSE:To enhance responsiveness to the carrying and stopping of loads and improve carrying efficiency in an accumulating conveyor. CONSTITUTION:A chain is laid between idle rollers 21, and a plurality of dogs are formed on the chain. The chain is supported on an intermediate sprocket 27, a second head sprocket 82, and a first head sprocket 29. Drive command is outputted from a first position sensor 33 to a first cylinder 31 according to the first pass of a pallet 24 to fall the first head sprocket 29, and drive command is outputted from a second position sensor 32 to a second cylinder 30 according to the second pass of the pallet 24 to fall the second head sprocket 28. The chain is inclined and displaced down to separate the dogs 23 from the pallet 24, and load feed is temporarily stopped.
