PURPOSE:To obtain a laminate having a soft surface layer, a high whole strength, and a light weight by a method wherein the laminate is composed of a molded material layer molded out of a resin composition made of polyphenylene ether and polyamide and a polyurethane layer. CONSTITUTION:A laminate is composed of a molded material layer molded out of a resin composition made of polyphenylene ether and polyamide and a polyurethane layer. An adhesive layer is interposed between the molded material layer and the polyurethane layer. In the production, the surface of the molded material is treated by an ultraviolet light irradiation; the adhesive is applied to the treated surface; and the molded material serving as a core is covered with a polyurethane. Furthermore, a glass fiber and/or an inorganic filler is incorporated in the resin composition. In this manner, the obtained laminate has at least one soft surface layer, a high whole strength as a structural member, a light weight, and a small strength change caused by water absorption or the like.
