Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To prolong the preservation life of a processed marine product such as KAMABOKO (boiled fish paste) and SATSUMA-AGE (fried fish ball) by sterilizing the surface of the paste food with a high-power ultraviolet ray in a short time after completing the cooling, etc., of the paste food. CONSTITUTION:The ultraviolet sterilization apparatus to be used in the present process is provided with two irradiation stages at slantly upper parts and one irradiation stage under the irradiation space. Each irradiation stage contains a highpower ultraviolet source of 400 watt. A paste food 1 subjected to cooling process or steaming process is irradiated with the irradiation stages 3 for a short time under transportation with a conveyor 2 to complete the objective sterilization treatment.
