PURPOSE:To operate the address setting of a communication interface device from a personal computer only by a software. CONSTITUTION:A personal computer 6 of a host device is connected through an RS232C I/F 7 to each communication interface device 2a-2c, and various data from each transmitter 11-1n are collected by a communication, and the range change of the transmitter or the like is operated by the communication. Then. the communication is operated with one IF module 4 in which a key switch 5 for an address is turned on and the serial number of the IF module is read. Afterwards, the communication is operated through the IF module 4 with the transmitter 1, and the address of the IF module 4 and the tag number of the transmitter connected with the pertinent IF module 4 are registered in the data base by making them correspond to each other. This procedure is repeated each time the key switch 5 of each IF module 4 is turned ON, and the address of each IF module 4 and the tag number of the transmitter 1 connected to the pertinent IF module 4 are registered.
