PURPOSE:To make it possible to separate and analyze basic coumpound containing nitrogen efficiently by adding amine salt and/or quarternary ammonium salt expressed with specified formulas into eluate. CONSTITUTION:When basic compound containing nitrogen is separated and analyzed by liquid chromatography using fluorine-based filler, eluate containing amine salt and quarternary ammonium salt expressed with the formula I is used. (In the formula, R1-R4 indicate alkyl groups, where the number of hydrogen atoms or carbon is 1-18. Of R1-R4, one or more can have fluoroalkyl groups. It is not necessary that all R1-R4 must be hydrogen at the same time. X expresses the anion of inorganic acid, and (a) expresses the integer of 1-3.) Or eluate containing amine salt and/or quarternary ammonium salt expressed by the formula II is used. (In the formula, Y1-Y4 are hydrogen atoms or fluorine atoms and (m), (o), (r) and (s) are 0-12 and are not 0 at the same time. The letters (n), (p), (q) and (t) indicate the integers of 1-3.
