A wave receiving member 20, whose wave receiving surface 20b is formed in the specified shape so that the incident angle thetaR of the ultrasonic wave 24 becomes the Rayleigh angle, is provided. An ultrasonic-wave converter 23, which converts a Rayleigh wave 22 propagating in the wave receiving member 20 into the electric signal at the converging part of the wave, is provided. |
