PURPOSE:To improve the maintenability of a bubbling device by supporting the bubbling device on the front end of the shell of the hollow yarn membrane module fixed to a tube plate, and uniting the bubbling device with the tube plate into a unit through the shell. CONSTITUTION:A hollow yarn membrane module assembly 32 hung from the tube plate 24 into the filtration chamber 26 of a filter vessel 20 is covered with the cylindrical shell 37 of the hollow yarn membrane module from the outside, and the shell 37 is fixed to the lower side of the tube plate 24. The bubbling device 40 consisting of a bubbling header 42 and plural bubbling branch pipes 43 is provided at the front end of the shell 37, and the air from an air supply pipe 41 is bubbled out from the nozzles 44 of the branch pipe 43 in backwashing. Since the bubbling device 40 is freely attachable to and detachable from the main barrel part 33 and independent of the part, the bubbling device 40 is drawn out to the outside from the main barrel par 23 when the nozzles 44 are clogged, and the clogging is easily eliminated. Moreover, the inside of the main barrel part 23 can be easily lined with rubber and repaired.
