Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To weaken a side effect while taking advantage of the endotoxin neutralizing effect of polymixin by immobilizing the polymixin on a fibrous carrier having the substituent selected from an alpha-acyl halide group, benzyl halide group and isocyanic acid group, thereby preparing the endotoxin neutralizer. CONSTITUTION:The endotoxin neutralizer is prepd. by immobilizing the polymixin to the fibrous carrier having the substituent selected from the alpha-acyl halide group, the benzyl halide group and the isocyanic acid group. The fibrous carrier is selected from polystyrene fibers or crosslinked polystyrene fibers, acrylic acid acrylonitride copolymer fibers and polyvinyl alcohol fibers having a carboxyl group. Since the endotoxin neutralizer is formed by immobilizing the polymixin at a high density, the neutralizer is capable of decomposing and nontoxicating the endotoxin in a soln. Since the polymixin does not elute into the soln., the soln. treated with the neutralizer does not exhibit toxicity.
