SPIRAL SLEEVE WINDING TOOL

PURPOSE:To wind a spiral sleeve around a cable such as overhead electric cable by remote control. CONSTITUTION:A spiral sleeve winding tool is provided with a guide 7 that is installed on one side of a frame 6 and that has a wedge-like shape for taking up a spiral sleeve 2 and for flattening the sleeve 2 while it is moved from the front end to the rear end; a feed mechanism 8 that is driven by a motor for feeding the spiral sleeve 2 to the other side of the frame 6 when the motor rotates in one direction; a winding part 10 for winding, on the cable 1, the spiral sleeve 2 whose end is curved so as to be engageable with the cable 1 and which is sent out from the feed mechanism 8, the winding part 10 being provided on the other side of the frame 6; and a cutter mechanism 9 that is installed on the feed side of the feed mechanism 8 and that is driven by the motor when the motor rotates in the other direction to cut the spiral sleeve 2.
