PHASE DISCRIMINATION CONTROL SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To discriminate a phase regarded to be the nearest to the correct value even when a unique word is detected at plural phases with respect to the phase discrimination control system discriminating a phase of a reception signal through the detection of the unique word. CONSTITUTION:The system is provided with a unique word detection section 1 consisting of a pattern comparison section 4 comparing a reception signal and a unique word pattern, a dissident bit number count section 5, and a tolerance comparator section 6 comparing a dissident bit number with a tolerance to discriminate a unique word detection phase, and a dissident bit number comparator section 2 and a phase discrimination section 3, and when plural unique word detection phases are in existence, the phase discrimination section 3 takes the phase of a minimum dissident bit number as a discriminated phase this time and when the minimum dissident bit number is plural numbers, the same phase as the preceding discriminated phase among the plural phases is used for the discriminated phase this time and when the same phase is not available, one of the plural phases is selected at random as the discriminated phase this time.
