Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To manufacture an integrated thin film magnetic head in which magnetic efficiency is enhanced by shortening the distance between a coil and the tip of pole. CONSTITUTION:Main magnetic pole 16 normal to the surface of a vertical magnetic recording medium D is bonded to a return yoke 17 formed in parallel with the main magnetic pole 16 at the upper end part 17e thereof. A thin film coil 18 is formed spirally around the joint 17e and a spring arm 19 is formed integrally with the head element part 15 while extending perpendicularly to the main magnetic pole 16 and the spiral thin film coil 18.
